Meet the 2021 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid SUV

At first glance, the Bentley Bentayga appears the same as any other. Then one begins to observe the details and realises it has in fact changed. Considerably. While assuming one doesn’t consider the impact a luxury purchase could have on the environment, Bentley tells us otherwise with the introduction of this Hybrid SUV Cars.

This ultra luxury SUVs journey began with a W12 engine before progressing to a V8 engine that eventually reached a V6 variant. Now adding to its efficiency is an electric motor assisting its V6 engine, thereby offering more power, better efficiency and longer drives between fuel stops. All, while consciously knowing they aren’t harming the environment (as much!).

Its exterior has a more pronounced ‘Matrix’ grille, all new headlights, blacked out elements compared to its chrome predecessor and the usual 22-inch standard wheels. The rear has a more uniformed singular look with its all-new oval tail-lights and oval exhaust pipes to match.

The interior of the Bentayga gets a newly positioned center console, added knee room in the rear and a fantastically luxurious cabin with diamond stitched leather and a number of complementing chrome details. Of course, the customisation ‘Mulliner’ department will cater to your every whim and fancy ensuring your Bentayga remains different from everyone else’s.

Specifications on the Hybrid include a combined output of 443 hp and 516 lb.ft of torque distributed to all four wheels. An all-electric range is approximately 50 kms, which should suffice average daily driving needs. Three driving modes are offered - EV mode, Hybrid mode and a Hold mode. While the EV and Hybrid mode are self explanatory, the ‘Hold’ mode holds its battery charge to an optimum balance to be used later.

Luxury Motor Press thinks:

The popularity of luxury, ultra luxury and performance SUVs cannot be denied. Aston Martin, Maserati, and even Ferrari add SUVs to their stable because of its business sense. In terms of Ultra Luxury, with Rolls-Royce and their Cullinan SUV and Bentley having sold over 10,000 Bentayga SUVs each year since its introduction, the smaller, displacement Hybrid seems like a natural progression, keeping in mind the brands vision of an all-electric range soon.
