£1.3 million Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster expected in 2018
- Limited production run of 28 units
- Partnered with renowned Italian design-house Zagato
- Each priced at £1.3 million
While inheriting much of its design from the Vanquish, the Zagato Speedster by Aston Martin will also receive design cues from the Vulcan, One-77 and CC-100. The Zagato uses carbon fibre body panels while enabling the car to reduce drag and there appears to be a fair bit of reference to the DB11 as well in terms of design influence from the rear.
Power maybe attributed to a limited-run V12 model will use a naturally aspirated 5.9-litre engine that produces 592bhp – 27bhp more than the regular Vanquish. This implies 0-60 times in 3.7 seconds, although with no roof at all to speak of, this maybe slightly quicker still.
The Zagato Speedster adds to the range of the Zagato coupe and Volante convertible line-up, however with an even further limitation (99 vs 28) on the number of units, making it a truly collectors piece.
