Lamborghini launches its most powerful Huracan version: The Performante.
- Best recognized for shattering the famous Nurburgring lap speed record
- 0-60 in 2.9 seconds attributed to a 5.2 litre V10 producing 640hp and 600 Nm
- 40 kgs lighter using ultra-lightweight carbon-fibre and aluminium construction
Looking deceivingly similar to the Super Trofeo series of models, Lamborghini has certainly introduced what aptly matches the raging bull logo with the launch of their latest and most powerful Huracan edition: The Performante.
The Performante stakes its claim to fame with its recent launch at Geneva and subsequently creating a sensation in the autosphere globally by rewriting the Nurburgring lap speed record by a staggering 5 seconds! This can be attributed to some notable key factors including:
Weight : The Performante uses ultra-lightweight carbon-fibre and aluminum construction, providing weight savings as much as 40 kgs in comparison to the standard Huracan.
Performance: The 5.2 litre V10 respectively pushes an additional 30hp and 40 Nm of torque relative to the standard Huracan AWD variant. This power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox with 0-60 kph suggested to arrive in 2.9 seconds.
Design: A rear spoiler provides the much needed downforce, with a claimed increase of 750 percent in downforce when compared to a Huracan with no wing. Channels to the right and left provide better airflow to accommodate for high speed cornering as well in addition to other active aerodynamic features which engage electronically as required.
The Huracan Performante is now available in India at a price of 3.97 Crore. The rather difficult decision maybe which colour to select your very own raging bull in?
