718 Boxster
The Porsche Boxster is a mid-engined two-seater roadster. The Boxster's name is derived from the word "boxer", referring to the vehicle's flat or "boxer" engine, and the word "roadster", referring to the vehicle's two-seater capacity and convertible top.
Similar to the Cayman, the 718 Boxster uses a mid mounted 2.0 litre turbocharged four cylinder boxer engine producing 300 hp. Power is supplied to the rear wheels and the car reaches 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The 718 Boxster S uses a slightly larger 2.5 litre turbocharged four cylinder boxer engine to produce 350 hp. Power for both Boxster variants is transmitted to the rear wheels via a manual or PDK (automatic) gearbox.
