The 2017 Audi A3 Cabriolet Face lift has just been launched.
More aggressive exterior styling showcasing Audi’s newer design language with plenty of interior technology
Smaller engine, however similar performance and added efficiency
Prices begin from INR 47.98 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi)
A little after two years since its introduction, Audi has just presented an updated version of their soft top, the Audi A3 Cabriolet. As one might expect with any facelift, a number of (subtle) exterior updates are present, showcasing Audi’s newer design language. These include a more pronounced hexagonal grill, more muscular looking bumpers, new design LED daytime running lamps - a standard on every new Audi and slight changes to the rear tail-lights.
Audi, well renowned for their interiors has provided the facelifted A3 with a host of features including a 7.0-inch infotainment screen, satellite navigation, dual climate control, front and rear parking sensors with a camera. While Audi’s virtual cockpit seems to have taken a miss this time on the A3 Cabriolet, however, there is still some optional technology to the likes of a Bang & Olufsen hi fi sound system and smartphone integration system which can very well be appreciated.
The big change is in terms of displacement. The ever popular 1.8-liter TFSI has now been reduced to a 1.4 litre TFSI. While power maybe reduced from 180hp to 150 hp in the process, the torque rating still remains an unchanged 250 Nm, providing plenty of performance. Add to this the “cylinder on demand” technology which adjusts the amount of fuel necessary depending on the demand, and this proves advantageous enough for a claimed 19.20 kmpl.
Prices for the facelifted soft top begins at INR 47.98 lakh(ex-showroom, New Delhi) and bookings are available now.
