BMW has just launched a diesel version of its 6-series GT, referred to as the BMW 630d. The 630d will be available in two variants - Luxury line and M-Sport with a starting price of INR 66.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Under the hood is the ever popular 3.0 litre, in-line, six-cylinder diesel engine capable of producing 265 bhp and a massive 620Nm of peak torque. Plenty of safety features for its occupants including six airbags, ABS with brake assist, stability and traction control, cornering brake and hill descent control and Isofix child seat mounts. Interesting for a more family based saloon is a standard launch control function.
The 630d Luxury Line features a rear-seat entertainment system with two 10.2-inch screens, BMW’s gesture and voice controlled iDrive infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, a wireless smartphone charger, four-zone climate control, a digital instrument cluster and 360-degree cameras to assist with parking.
The higher M Sport trim gets a heads-up display with full colour projection, a soft-close door function and Nappa leather upholstery. The exterior showcases black touches on the grille, side skirts and a rear apron, large front air intakes and an M Sport brake package. There are also optional larger, lighter 19-inch alloy wheels.
