BMW launches the X1 Petrol variant; INR 37.5 lakhs
BMW has launched the X1 with its 2.0-litre petrol engine in India, adding to the competitive premium compact SUV segment. Starting at a price of INR 37.5 lakh (ex-showroom), the X1 sDrive20i will compete against SUV’s like the Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
The X1 petrol variant will be offered in only the ‘xline’ trim. The new 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol motor on the X1 produces 192PS of power and 280Nm of peak torque making it fun to drive as urban SUV’s go. This power is sent via an all-new 7-speed ‘Steptronic’ double-clutch automatic transmission to the front wheels.
