Lamborghini launches the Aventador S : 0-100 in 2.9 seconds
Lamborghini’s flagship model, the Aventador has just introduced the S variant increasing its 6.5 liter V12 engine power to a staggering 740 hp with 690 Nm of torque, courtesy of subtle changes to its intake and valve timing. This implies the Aventador S being capable of getting from 0 to 100 kph in 2.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 349 kph. All of this power is transferred to all four wheels via a 7-speed transmission.
Additionally, the aggressive looking front bumpers have been altered along with new diffusers to produce an additional 130 percent downforce. An added spoiler at the rear allows for an increased downforce by 50 percent.
Some really appreciable additions is the replacement of the analogue gauges with an LCD TFT display as well as four wheel steering, allowing for better agility while cornering at higher speeds.
Newly added to the already three driving modes is the “Ego” setting which provides the drivers to customise their preference of steering, suspension and engine settings.
The new Aventador S, having launched internationally last year is now available in India and is priced to start at INR 5.01 Crore (ex-showroom)
