Land Rover announces pricing for the all new Discovery

Luxury off-roaders are a popular segment in India regardless of how much off-roading one might actually experience. For those of you seeking to update your current model or simply in the market, British car maker, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has just announced pricing of its all new Discovery model range.
Prices start at Rs 68.05 lakh and go up to Rs 1.03 crore (both ex-showroom, India). The SUV will be available in 10 variants and is expected to go on sale beginning this November.
A 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine pushes 340PS of power and 450Nm of torque. The diesel also displaces 3.0-litres in a 6-cylinder configuration and develops 258PS of power and a massive 600 Nm of torque. Both engines, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission transfers power to the road via an all-wheel drive system.
Seat configuration includes standard 5 seats for the range, except for what is termed the “First Edition” series, which carries 7 seats. Optionally, you can select a 7-seat configuration should you desire in any of the remaining variants.
As is the case with British luxury, features are aplenty with the all new Discovery. Inside, one can experience a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, heads-up display, 8.0-inch rear seat entertainment and four-zone climate control amongst many other features. Exterior features include 21 inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, an electric sunroof and rain sensing wipers.
