Mercedes-Benz India has just launched an addition to its AMG line-up with the introduction of the GLC43 AMG SUV. Coupe like styling provides for a very sporty appearance with AMG distinguishing diamond-pattern grille, muscular front bumper and the silver side skirts - all giving it an aggressive stance. An exterior diffuser with quad pipe exhausts provide signature AMG elements with a carbon fibre lip spoiler to complement.
The GLC 43 AMG Coupe is powered by a 3-litre biturbo V6 engine producing an impressive 362 bhp mated to a 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic gearbox. This translates to 0-100 kph times of just 4.9 seconds, astonishing for an SUV. Standard on the SUV is 4Matic all wheel drive with driving modes that include eco, comfort, sport and sport+ that change the SUV's dynamic characteristics.
.The interior continues to celebrate 50 years of AMG as a sporty variant with sporty red seatbelts and plenty of carbon fibre panels throughout the cabin. Headroom does seem a bit compromised in the rear, however this is a marginal trade off considering the coupe like sporty exterior the GLC 43 AMG presents.
With a price of INR 74.9 lakh, this SUV imported as a completely built unit makes a case for itself through its performance figures and adds beautifully to the existing AMG line-up in celebration of their brand presence of pure performance for 50 years now.
