E-Class
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a range of executive cars in various engine and body configurations. Produced since 1953, the E-Class falls midrange in the Mercedes line-up, and has been marketed worldwide across five generations. All generations of the E-Class have offered either rear-wheel drive or Mercedes' 4Matic four-wheel drive system.
The first E-Class series was originally available as four-door sedan, five-door station wagon, 2 door coupe and 2 door convertible. Presently the E-Class is available as a sedan with a Long Wheel Base version. Recently added is the E-Class All-Terrain variant with added ground clearance and wagon style while in certain markets the E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet is available.
Currently, the E-Class offers two diesel and one petrol version. Both mated to a 9G-Tronic transmission. Advanced features available in the E-Class include a 13 speaker premium Burmester sound system and a Touchscreen in the rear to control media, climate and vehicle functionalities.
For the performance oriented enthusiast, there is an available E 63 S 4Matic+ model.
