Ducati Diavel 1260 arrives in India
Ducati has just launched its Diavel 1260 power cruiser in India. The stunning motorcycle will be available as a standard Diavel 1260 variant as well as a Diavel 1260 S. Claiming the ‘best of the best’ category at the Red Dot awards in 2019, this ‘mega monster’ of a bike needs no introduction.
Power comes courtesy of a new 1,262 cc L-Twin motor, producing 157 bhp & 129 Nm. Variable valve timing (desmodronic, in their nomenclature) allows for power across a wide range of engine rpm.
A new anti-lock braking system (ABS) from Bosch with cornering ABS powered by a 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) aids the cornering traction control system. There are also three riding modes available based on the riders preference and cruising conditions.
The motorcycle is well equipped with standard features including keyless ignition, cruise control, backlit switches, along with launch control, as well as a rear-wheel lift mitigation system. The 1260 S variant also gets a standard up/down quickshifter, LED daytime running lights and a Bluetooth Ducati multimedia system which can be synced with a smartphone, and the Ducati Link App.
Price for the standard Ducati Diavel begins at INR 17.7 lakh and the Diavel S starting at INR 19.25 lakh. (ex-showroom, India)
