Mercedes Benz GLC Facelift Cars

Mercedes-Benz India launched the face-lifted variant of the ever popular GLC SUV today. The GLC 200 petrol variant starts at a price of INR 57.40 lakh and the GLC 220 diesel variant starts at INR 63.15 lakh.

What’s New?

As with any face-lift, one expects subtle changes and nothing too radical. In the case of the GLC, the interior technology seems to be the biggest update. A 12.3 inch digital cluster replaces its analog predecessor. As well, there is a 360-degree camera included in the GLC. Additionally, the car has an updated sim embedded that allows for “Google” home and “Alexa” integration.

This allows voice commands to be narrated to the SUV from your home. Additionally, using the Mercedes ME connected app, you can even start the SUV remotely. One of the neatest additions as standard to the GLC is a front seat massage function. Clearly a much needed and appreciated feature for those long excursions and interstate adventures.

The engine line-up for the 2021 model year with the GLC continues to be offered with a 197hp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 194hp 2.0-litre diesel engine. Both units are paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox as standard with the diesel additionally getting 4Matic all-wheel drive.

Luxury Motor Press thinks:

The GLC is a great all-rounder that provides luxury, comfort and practicality. It does seem to have gotten more expensive and will be interesting to see if it still holds as much popularity going forward.

Particularly since the segment does have some stiff competition with the likes of the BMW X3, Volvo XC60 and upcoming Audi Q5 facelift.
