Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription hybrid SUV launched
Volvo Cars India has just introduced a new variant of its flagship XC90 SUV called the T8 Inscription variant at a starting price of INR 96.65 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription will be a plug-In Hybrid and will be positioned below the XC90 T8 Excellence that was released earlier.
The 7 seater SUV comes with a 4-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, Bowers and Wilkins system, HUD, adaptive suspension, Nappa leather seats and ventilation function for the front passengers.
A major update to the XC90 T8 Inscription is a 2.0-litre, direct injection, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 320bhp and 240Nm of torque. Along with the electric motor however, the XC90 T8 Inscription generates 398bhp of max power and 640Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, with the power transferred to the rear wheels via the electric motor and the front wheels powered by the petrol engine. With the help of the electric motor, the XC90 T8 Inscription can travel up to 32kms on a single charge.
