Audi RS7 Sportback

Audi RS Range

Sometimes referred to as “Halo” cars, RS is Audi's highest performance 'top-tier' trim level, positioned distinctly above the "S" ("Sport") specification level of Audi's regular model range. All "RS" cars pioneer some of Audi's latest and most advanced technology and engineering prowess.

The "RS" initials are taken from the German: RennSport — literally translated as "racing sport". Available for limited time and only in select markets, on a restricted model range, these "RS" (and "S" models) models are wholly designed, developed and produced in-house by Audi AG's high performance private subsidiary company, Audi Sport GmbH.

The Audi RS7 Sportback is a 4-door fastback featuring a sloping roofline with a steeply raked rear window and integrated boot lid (forming the "Sportback"), and four frameless doors.
Being an RS, this sedan is built for performance and this is achieved courtesy of a 4.0-litre V8 TFSI engine that develops 560 hp and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. The car sprints to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds via the quattro all-wheel drive system delivering power to all four wheels.

Once inside, the RS7 Sportback offers a host of technological conveniences. Some include the following:

Colour Driver’s Information System (DIS) with 7” display
The DIS shows the radio station or track title, telephone control, menu and other display information from the infotainment system such as navigation (if fitted). Also includes an on-board trip computer with short and long-term trip memory, outside temperature display, digital speedometer and door or boot open warning. Also included is a rest recommendation system which analyses driving behaviour based on steering, pedals and gear lever movements. If the system detects a change in driving patterns it can, via audio and visual effects, notify the driver of the possible need to take a break. Additionally, a RS menu with gear changing light, charging pressure and lap timer is included as standard.
