Mercedes-Benz launches the first-ever ‘Made in India’ BS 6 Long Wheel Base E-Class
Mercedes-Benz has been in India since 1995. An estimated 42,000 E-Class luxury sedans have since been sold, making it a truly popular car. Mercedes-Benz India now prepares for the next wave of stringent pollution norms by launching the ‘Made in India’ BS 6 compliant Long Wheel Base E-Class.
The Long Wheel Base is the preferred E-Class amongst customers in India and will be available in two variants - Expression and Exclusive.
Highlights of the Exclusive model include an intuitive rear touchpad, Burmester high-end surround sound system, widescreen digital cockpit (12.3 inch) and a rear wireless charger.
The E 200 features a 1991 cc engine producing 145 kW (197 hp) 320 Nm of torque, 0 -100 in 8 secs. The E 220 d features a 1950 cc, in-line 4 diesel engine that churns out 143 kW (194 hp) and 400 Nm of torque, 0 -100 km/h in 7.3 secs.

With the knowledge of being BS 6 compliant, the new E-Class Long Wheel Base should maintain its status as the preferred luxury sedan choice in this segment.
