Pagani debuts the most expensive car in the world at €15 million
Pagani Automobili S.p.A., founded by Horacio Pagani has stunned the world with some of the most beautiful and rare cars in the world. Pagani chose the recently concluded Goodwood Festival of Speed (a festival where automakers celebrate automobiles by launching and showing their unique products) as a platform to introduce its rarest “Zonda HP Barchetta”.
The Zonda HP Barchetta is powered by an AMG V12 engine producing 789 horsepower. Interestingly, this engine uses a traditional six-speed manual gearbox, personalised by Pagani himself.
The suspension uses four-wheel independent double wishbones, upper rocker arm with coil springs and adjustable Öhlins shocks, and an anti-roll bar, while the brakes are 380 mm, ventilated discs all round, with six-piston callipers at the front, and four-piston calipers at the rear.
Limited to only three units (already spoken for) this piece of automotive history is priced at €15 million, making it the most expensive production car to be sold to date. The boutique Italian hypercar manufacturer also had a hill climb speedrun driven by the company founder Horacio Pagani.
