Ducati 1260 Pikes Peak launched
After the recent launch of the Multistrada 1260 and 1260 S, Ducati has also launched a Pikes Peak edition in India with a starting price of INR 21.42 lakh, (ex-showroom, India). While this model will be limited in numbers, no official numbers on the count. The Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak edition is a top-spec variant of the Multistrada 1260 and is the same that won the most recent Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Challenge.
Using the same 1,262 cc L-Twin DVT Testastretta engine producing an impressive 158 bhp and 129.5 Nm of peak torque, the engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and is Euro-IV compliant.
In terms of upgrades, however, the bike gets carbon fibre parts on the windscreen, front mudguard and air intake covers, and receives a new paint scheme. The wheels are a lighter forged aluminium.
The suspension and exhaust system on the Pikes Peak edition has been upgraded along with having a bidirectional quick-shifter and cornering ABS.
Ducati says dealers are currently offering the 1260 Multistrada Pikes Peak edition.
