Maserati launches its beautiful GranTurismo
Maserati has just added the absolutely beautiful 2018 GranTurismo to its portfolio. The recently refreshed GranTurismo is achieves iconic status considering it’s design hasn’t changed much in the decade since its launch in 2007.
The GranTurismo will be available in two different variants, the Sport and the aggressive track-inspired MC. The GranTurismo is powered by the naturally aspirated 4.7-litre V8 engine built by Ferrari in Maranello. It produces 460PS of power with a peak torque of 520 Nm. Transmission duties on the latest GT are handled by a six-speed ZF automatic gearbox.
The 2018 model features a new “sharknose” hexagonal grille inspired by the Alfieri Concept and adds a three-dimensional effect to the front design. Coupled with the new, lower air ducts, the grille helps improve the airflow distribution and reduces aerodynamic drag, claims Maserati. The rear has also been revised as an update to its timeless design.
Inside, the new Maserati gets Poltrona Frau leather seats with integrated headrests. For 2018, the interior features a new, high resolution 8.4-inch capacitive touchscreen and refined ergonomics, with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The new Maserati double-dial clock at the centre of the dashboard and the Harman Kardon Premium Sound system are standard on both Sport and MC versions.
Prices for this Italian grand tourer begins at INR 2.25 crore (ex-showroom, India).
