Volvo adds two variants to its already popular XC40 SUV
Volvo recently launched its sub compact luxury SUV, the XC40 in the Indian market as a single R-Design variant.
Volvo has since introduced two new variants to the XC40 - the Momentum and Inscription - priced at INR 39.9 lakh and 43.9 lakh (ex-showroom India), respectively. This makes the Momentum the new base variant while the Inscription will be the new top-spec variant of the XC40 lineup. The R-Design will now be its mid-level offering priced at INR 42.9 lakh and deliveries of the new variants will begin this month.
The XC40 is still powered by the D4 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces a maximum of 190 hp and 400Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speeed automatic gearbox that supplies power to all four wheels via an intelligent AWD system.
