Video: Learn how a Bentley Bentayga Speed is made!
Bentley is a brand renowned for its attention to detail in creating luxury cars. Today they share footage taken by a drone of their factory going through the production steps in building one of their Bentayga Speed SUVs. The total time to build each SUV is said to take 127 working hours or 16 days.
The video begins with the selection and machining of wood, followed by detailed spot checking of the hide used in their seats. The video then continues towards customised interior preparation and stitching at their trim shop.
Moving on we see the engine block and drivetrain production. Also shown simultaneously is the body inspection before being taken to the main assembly area where everything fits together. It is a very interesting video that shows the basics of car production, however adding the Bentley attention to detail as well.
For those of you wondering, the Bentayga Speed uses a twin-turbo 6.0-liter power plant using a W12 configuration. Helping it reach 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds is 626 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque.
