Year end review - India’s Top Luxury Car Brands - Segment 4
In conclusion of the year and this series, we bring you the remaining highlights from this past year.
Lexus
Making its way into the market rather discreetly, Lexus brings its globally renowned line-up to India. More recently with the introduction of its sports car as a hybrid variant only. Given the opportunity, we do hope there is a chance they consider the UX SUV and maybe even the IS sport sedan.
Lexus LC500h
Lexus launched the LC500h sports car at an ex-showroom starting price of INR 1.96 Crore. India received the hybrid variant with a V-6 motor producing 354 hp transferred to its rear wheels. This is accomplished using a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Exterior elements give you the classic Lexus spindle grille and sharp headlights. The interior presents an attention to detail unlike any other in terms of quality, fit and feel. This makes for one very competitive contender in the premium sports car space.
Pagani
We adore this hypercar company from Italy that keeps pushing boundaries in terms of design and engineering. This year, with just the one launch, things get very exclusive.
Pagani Huayra ‘Tricolore’
Pagani, known for its beautifully sculpted shape and performance to match, adds a special Huayra ‘Tricolore’ to their line-up. 1 of only 3 to be produced, the car is said to be inspired by the Italian Air Force’s aerobatics team.
$6.7 million gets you one with their most powerful yet running at 829 hp in this roadster. The exterior has complex aerodynamic updates finished in blue-tinted carbon fiber with Italian flag accents. One of its coolest features is having an air speed gauge as part of its interior!
